General Dental Care

Examination – also known as a check up this is a chance to meet you to discuss any problems or concerns or anything that you are not happy with about your mouth and teeth. We will also look in your mouth and record all your teeth as they are and look at the gums and soft tissues of your mouth. We will then discuss what we have observed.

Consultation – similar to an examination but more relevant to a specific type of treatment these are available free of charge at the practice.

X-rays – known as radiographs these are a type of picture that allows us to see the inside the teeth to allow for diagnosis of decay or problems with the roots of teeth

Diagnosis – the observation and testing of any problematic teeth and the mouth to find any pathology (problems) specific tests can be performed to assess teeth to result in a diagnosis to help form a treatment plan.

Pain management – to reduce or remove pain from the dentition and mouth as quickly as possible.

Oral surgery – the removal of bad teeth or parts of the soft tissue that are causing problems or pain. Or manipulation of the oral tissues to allow placement of dental implants.

Treatment planning – the dentist and the patient agreeing a course of action for the patients mouth and teeth and dental well being.
